It’s pretty common knowledge that clients and customers are the lifeblood of any company. A steady stream of new customers, as well as repeat custom, allows businesses to grow and fulfill the company’s vision.
Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of design trends come and go, which are used in design and marketing to attract new clients, and keep existing ones engaged. In this blog post, we are going to be talking about how to use graphic design to find more clients.
There are a few things that need to be done first, before you can use graphic design as your selling machine. These are:
- Make sure it sits snuggly within your brand guidelines
- Don't over populate it with information
- It needs to be recognisable and relate to your business.
What the designs needs
It needs to be designed for a purpose. For example, you have the exact same information on a business card as you would on a leaflet. Imagine trying to squeeze all that information onto a little business card.
Don't worry though, your customers will already know the purpose of each element. They’ll know a business card will mainly just include contact details and possibly a list of services, whereas a leaflet will say a lot more about who you are, how you can help and expand on your services.
Don't even think about using colours that don't relate to your branding. This will disconnect the design from your company! To get the most out of the design, it needs to feel like an extension of your business and branding.
