Pay Per Click (PPC) or Paid Search is a great way to drive traffic to your website by paying every time your ad is clicked. Google Ads is the most common PPC platform, where you pay to compete for the top ad slots on Google's Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).
As the name suggests, you pay a price per click of the links or keywords put into place. They are an important way to reach and engage more customers online - locally, nationally and even internationally. If your Google Ads campaign isn't properly optimised, you can be wasting money on irrelevant clicks.

Google Ads case study: Two Can Talk Speech & Language Therapy
As a long standing client of ours, Mags from Two Can Talk Speech & Language Therapy, was keen to grow her business further. We worked with Mags to refresh her brand identity and build a new website. We had a meeting with Mags back in November 2018 to chat about Google Ads and how a fully optimised campaign would benefit her business.
Mags already had a Google Ads campaign setup that she was running herself, but described it as a minefield that she hadn’t yet started to tackle. We discussed our Google Ads service, her current campaign, and how we’d work with her to make sure the campaign is suitable for the budget, intentions and goals. We explained how, with our help and guidance, we could use Google Ads to boost Two Can Talk’s website ranking and performance.
Mags’ original campaign was performing okay, but it wasn’t optimised to its full potential, so effectively, money was being wasted. We started a new Google Ads campaign from scratch on our Google Manager Platform, ensuring that we have a clean setup and can leave the existing account as they are for possible future use. This also gives us confidence in the campaign, knowing everything is setup and linked correctly.
The original campaign as a whole had a Click Through Rate (CTR) of just 2.03%. Since starting the new campaign, we have received an average overall CTR of 5.5%! We can also see from Google Analytics that 51.5% of all web traffic to the website within the last 30 days is from the Google Ads campaign.
To compare the Google Analytics data from October 2018 (the month before our managed Google Ads campaign went live) and last month (July 2019), we have seen an increase of 5.41% of users, 41.35% increase in average session duration - the amount of time people spend on the website - and a 23.37% increase in the number of sessions. Check out the data breakdown here:

Since working with Mags on this campaign, we have had great feedback on the performance of the campaign. Mags has told us how all of her therapists are fully booked, so she’s on the lookout for more speech and language therapists.
To reflect this brilliant news, we added a new jobs section to Two Can Talk’s website and have adapted the Google Ads campaign, creating a brand new ad group for people searching for speech and language therapist jobs.
“The change in my new referral leads since Rian set up my new Google ad campaign has been brilliant. I’m now on the lookout for new therapists as we are getting so many new enquiries!”
